Photography, for me, is a pursuit of atmosphere, emotion, and storytelling. My work is deeply rooted in a documentary and editorial approach, blending natural observation with artistic intent. Whether capturing the quiet beauty of the wilds of Exmoor and Dartmoor or the energy of fashion, weddings and portraiture, I aim to create images that feel authentic, immersive, and timeless that are part of a wider story or stand alone as a point in time.
A key part of my process is my long-standing use of Fujifilm’s X-series cameras. From the original X100 and X-Pro1, which first shaped my vision within wedding photography for true documentary reportage , to my current X100V and X-Pro3, these cameras have been more than tools—they are an extension of how I see the world. Their tactile design, film-like colour science, and ability to remain unobtrusive allow me to work quickly and intuitively, preserving moments with a cinematic depth and character, whilst allowing me to align with my outlook on life - regularly quite dark and gloomy!
Whether exploring landscapes, capturing human stories, or working with clients, my goal is always the same: to produce images that resonate, that invite the viewer to pause and that reflect the beauty found in both the grand and the understated.
